Decision Making Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen.
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
Decision making isn't always easy! Some times you may feel unsure of what to do, doubt yourself, or have fear of making a bad decision and thus lack the confidence to make a confident good decision. So today I am going to give you just a few ways you can assure that you're making good confident decisions and thus making the decision making process easier. First tip would be to never make a decision when your in a bad mood or angry usually that will equate to bad decision making. Make sure that when you're making an important decision that your mind is clear and that you're not being clouded by your emotions. Good moods usually equate to good decision making. Also if it is an important decision absolutely know it's ok to take a night to sleep on it. Usually after a night of sleep and rest you're going to have a better idea of what you want in the morning. My second tip is don't overanalyze. go with your gut instinct. Trust yourself. Allow yourself to be confident and just go with what your gut tells you to go with. If you have a fear of making bad decisions what you must do is focus on the positive and affirm that you CAN and DO make good decisions. So maybe you made some mistakes and bad decisions before but surely there are some GOOD decisions you have made. Focus on those. Allow yourself to see your good qualities too. Remove the idea from your mind that you make bad decisions. From this moment on you make good decisions. Affirm this in your mind daily. Positive affirmations are a very powerful tool. Your a person. You're not perfect. You are going to make mistakes. Don't be too hard on yourself. Give yourself credit that you deserve. Remember if you make a bad decision the good thing is you learned something from it. You learned why it was a bad decision. It's life. This is the kind of stuff that makes you wise and builds your charachter. It's all ok. Allow yourself to make decisions and if you happen to make the wrong one it's ok. Learning experiences are priceless and going forward you will have new knowledge to make confident good decisions.
Another simple way to help ease a decision from anything to should I dump my boyfriend to should I move to seattle or st. louis is by using a pros and cons list. It will speak for itself. Sometimes it still might be hard to follow through depending on the question but remember the list turned out the way it did for a reason. You should consider this. Be bold. Be confident. Meditate on it. Meditation is a fantastic way to clear your mind completely so that your mind is fresh and recharged. Some of my best ideas and decisions came to me during a meditation session or immediately after. Allow yourself to free your mind from all thoughts for a few minutes and see how you will be able to find new outlooks. If you are unfamiliar with meditation and it's basics check my Meditation page. I am no meditation expert but I do practice daily and it has improved my life in an abundance of ways.
Think positive. Well now some of you are asking how does this equate to good decision making. Well simple when one is in a good mood and allows the bad things in their lives to be more passive and the good things be more dominant in your mind, your mood shifts to being in a positive healthy mood. Remember good moods translate to happy confident good decisions. Also thinking positive and with confidence will allow you to make some decisions that otherwise you may not have made out of fear. Some of these decisions are the ones that shape our lives. We create our destiny by being bold and taking actions and making decisions that get us closer to those goals. So always think positive send out those vibes the universe wants you to have everything you want to have. You have to align yourself with that positive frequency. The answers to your questions will be in front of you and all tools provided when your in tune. Believe in yourself, believe in your abilities, believe that you can achieve anything you desire, take actions towards them, and think positive. If you're at a restaurant and you're deciding between 2 or 3 options and you're going back and forth trying to decide then literally just pick. If both options are equally great and had only 20 seconds to make a decision which one would you say to the waiter? Just pick . Pick one and get the other next time. Ask advice. Everyone needs help sometimes. Even the best home run hitter doesn't hit a home run every game. I'm willing to bet anything that even those that teach personal development still seek advice or have had mentors in their lives. I know I do. If you have close family you can ask advice to or really good friends ask. Seek counsil. Hear them out. Never make a decision based on what someone else wants you to do, make decisions that feel right to you in your heart regardless of the advice someone gives. The purpose of this advice is so that you may see it through a different perspective. Which can aid you with making confident decisions.
